USA Domestic Voice Routing

To secure your USA retail traffic on a direct high-quality route select PTGI as your vendor of choice.
PTGi-ICS interconnects with major US operators & routes voice traffic to all 145,000+ NPA-NXX codes in the USA.
PTGi-ICS employs both LNP dipping and LRN capabilities to ensure that voice calls get to the routing point faster and more directly. This saves money for our customers and provides for a better end user experience.
Destination networks are targeted dynamically for accurate routing, reducing incremental charges and overall operating costs.

FCC database

Who should register in the FCC database by 30th June 2021?

If you are a licensed USA carrier you must register in the FCC database by 30th June 2021 and certify that you have implemented a strategy to prevent illegal spam, phishing and robocalls.
If you are a non-USA carrier with USA routing traffic that has a non-USA originating number, then there is no impact.
If you are a non-USA carrier with USA routing traffic with a USA originating number, then you must register and certify in the FCC database prior to 30th June 2021. As of 28th September 2021, this traffic will be illegal and blocked if you are not registered. The most common legal cause for this would be USA roaming numbers.

Between 30th June 2021 and 28th September 2021, PTGI-ICS will begin checking the FCC database for all originating carriers that are sending USA traffic. Any carriers who are sending USA routing traffic with USA originating numbers and are not registered in the FCC database, will be blocked for that traffic at that time.

STIR/SHAKEN Token

PTGI currently accepts USA routing traffic that includes a STIR/SHAKEN token in the SIP header and will pass this token to the routing network.

PTGI operates its own hosted Network solution from a certified data centre employing all leading security, environmental and safety standards.

The PTGI network offers both public and private IP connections as well as legacy TDM including conversion between protocols. All standard codecs are supported and transcoding on demand is available as necessary.
